Individual Coaching (1-on-1 Coaching)

When we undergo intense personal experiences and have overwhelming feelings and thoughts, talking to a trusted, objective third-party and being heard are what we need.

  • All clients must have an initial coaching session, which is a 90-minute in-depth intake session. There is no obligation to coach again after the initial coaching session, so these sessions are longer to accommodate questions and produce a individualized plan.

  • Follow-up sessions are either 60-minutes or 30-minutes, depending on the client needs.

  • I encourage my clients to also have a therapist or counselor, as coaching is not therapy.

  • I also regularly coordinate with my clients’ therapists, counselors, and/or doctors. When coordinating, I always follow the lead of the licensed mental health professional.

Couple Coaching

Couples occasionally need an objective third party to listen and help them sort out a specific problem and come to a practical solution.

  • Example couple coaching topics:

    • Joint approach for anticipated difficult situations, such as the holidays and family gatherings

    • Conflict about specific experiences, such as an ex approaching your partner, miscommunicating partner’s private information, different schedules, financial outlooks

    • Navigating sobriety, support for lifestyle changes, commitment to physical health journeys

    • How to decide whether to stay together or breakup, communicating needs and thoughts

  • Each person must be aware of and agree to the couple coaching session and agree to actively participate.

  • Before I coach a couple, each person must have an individual therapist, counselor, or spiritual guide.

  • I do not address deeply rooted, systemic, and/or mental health issues, as those topics must be handled by licensed mental health professional.

Group Coaching

Families and small groups also occasionally need an objective third party to listen and help them sort out a specific problem, share uncomfortable information, and come to a practical solution.

  • Example group coaching topics:

    • Communicating significant life changes, such as coming out, moving, separation

    • Changes in the group social structure, such as conflicts arising from friend trips, group activities, breakups, and values differences

    • Shared difficult experiences or similar experiences, such as everyone in the group is having trouble dating, is going through breakups with a similar type of ex or similar breakup circumstances, is having difficulty making friends in their 30s

  • Before I coach a small group or a family, all members should agree on the topic of discussion and be willing to actively participate.

  • Deeply rooted, systemic, and/or mental health issues must be handled by a licensed mental health professional.

Online Communities

There are times when people don’t want to talk 1-on-1 or actively participate by sharing, asking questions, and commenting. They want to silently participate by observing and listening, because the point is to not feel alone in what they’re experiencing. I host a variety of communities in online spaces — in private and public settings.

  • Rhyme & Reason is my private, HIPAA-compliant coaching community. The community is subscription-based and small by design.

    • To preserve the level of trust and safety that exists in Rhyme & Reason, I must have at least three coaching sessions with you before you can be considered.

    • Twice a week, there are group coaching sessions, called Ask Me Anythings (i.e., AMAs) for Rhyme & Reason. Members can listen to past AMAs at their convenience.

    • There are three weekly classes: personal wellness, relational skills class, and workplace interactions.

    • There are courses on self-worth, journaling, dating, building friendships, managing the holidays, and more.

  • Tik Tok, Instagram, and Facebook. I am active and public on these three social media platforms (@rhymeandreasoncoaching), monitor comments, and answer questions. I spend the most time on Tik Tok, but I post content and stories on all three.

  • Public Ask Me Anythings (i.e., AMAs). I regularly host AMAs in which I answer relationship questions asked in my DMs or in the Lives.
